Marlborough Gewurztraminer 2008
| Region: | Rapaura District, Marlborough | | | | Cellaring: | Superb drinking now and over the next 3 - 4 years. | | Wine Style: | An off-dry Gewurztraminer with delicate, floral aromas and a soft, lingering finish. This wine delivers an enticing mouthfeel which adds sophistication to its charm. | | Vineyards: | The grapes are from young vines grown in the Brentwood Vineyard, Rapaura, Marlborough. This region epitomises hot days, cool nights and infertile soils which produce intensely aromatic wines. | | Winemaking: | The grapes were harvested in the early cool hours of the morning, and immediately pressed to preserve the natural aromas and flavours. The juice then underwent a long, cool fermentation in stainless steel. Prior to bottling, the wine is kept on yeast lees for serveral months which serves to increase the richness of the palate. | | Order: | Order online now | | | | | | |
