Cable Bay is just 35 minutes by ferry from downtown Auckland. The Fuller's Ferry to Waiheke departs from Pier 2 at the Main Ferry Building. Once you arrive at Waiheke, taxis meet all ferry sailings and wait at a taxi rank next to the terminal. You are a 2-minute ride away from Cable Bay Vineyards – the drivers know us, just mention our name and they know where to go! In addition to coming from central Auckland, you may also arrive via Half Moon Bay or Howick on SeaLink. (SeaLink is also a car ferry.) SeaLink sails into Kennedy Point and is a 15-minute taxi ride from Cable Bay Vineyards. If you are driving, take Kennedy Point Rd to Donald Bruce Rd and turn left on Mitchell Ave. Continue along Mitchell Ave, Miami Ave, Hamilton Rd, Surfdale Rd and Ocean View Rd through the township of Oneroa. Turn left on Church Bay Rd and you will see a sign directing you to the entrance and car park.
Walking: It takes about 25 minutes to walk to Cable Bay from the Fuller's Matiatia Wharf. Climb up Ocean View Rd and turn right at Mako Street then keeping to the right walk straight ahead into Church Bay Rd (AA signs are at the beginning of Church Bay Rd). Follow Church Bay Rd up and around and you will see signs for Cable Bay. We are located at 12 Nick Johnstone Drive which is on the intersection of Church Bay Rd & Nick Johnstone Drive.
Flying in: You can arrange to land at the Cable Bay Vineyards helipad, which is a scenic 7-minute helicopter flight from central Auckland. As we have a limited number of landings per month please contact us to make arrangements on (09) 372 5889 or contact directly one of the helicopter companies listed and they will make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.
